M mute by their beauty They seemed pretty relatableI liked that Harper had a shaky relationship with her dad but was willing to work on it and her dad was a major presence in her #Life She Struggled With How #She struggled with how help Seth but no matter what was always trying to helpSeth was pretty frosty at first but his attitude was pretty nderstandable Even though surrounded with people who cared about him his feelings of helplessness felt believableThis is the first book of two so hopefully the estions I still have will be answered Let s talk about the new Amity Hope bookWhat I liked
Amity Hope has a a great writing style It never too descriptive that Hope has a a great writing style It never too descriptive that know ever single color of the walls in the room but it s enough to know that when there is pain andor hurt I want to cry This story is much different than others Harper and Seth They are the best of friends growing p and the each truly love each other Sethoh SethI instantly fell in love with him and as you read on his story becomeswell he changes a bit See Harper moves away and Seth is really torn p about it And I want to tell you everything but I m not going to spoil it for you HOWEVER I will say thiskeep readingThe holdp Yeah so Horrible true story in which my weekend was plagued by one star lows I actually missed out on valuable study time for this Grr The description blurb was way exciting what actually happened And for a book that supposedly dealt with abuse the impact was weakLook if the of the story is romance then that should be the focus NOT secondary story lines that touches pon heavy issues that get swiped Where Poppies Grow under the rug and overshadowed by awkward glum romance There should have been some kind of balance bw the two maybe But it just didn t feel right Seth and Harper were best friends then after sharing a kiss induced by a dare they re almost sweethearts Alas Harper moves away with her mother to Florida and young love is at a standstill But then surprise surprise Harper moves back to her hometown is reunited with Seth only to find out his horrible secret I was actually somewhat OK with the storyp till this pointWhat happens AFTER was just ludicrous It was so left field and dramatic like something you d see in a soap opera Cue obligatory eye roll I m all for drama but it has to make sense I guess I was expecting a bit on the romance part and obviously Seth s secret was not even really a secret from the beginning It was always kind of obvious Then the way everything happened UghGive me dialogue spark terror conflict among the characters and then maybe this book would have had a chance My first read of 2015 and I think I m off to a good startI highly enjoyed Truths and Dares Granted I read this book for like a week but that was only because of all the family get together and parties I had to attend But anyway now that I finally finished it I am very eager to read the next installmentHarper is a pretty likable protagonist I didn t like her at first but she grew on me and I came to admire her strength and well nosiness She s a perfect match for Seth who is all secrets and solitude Seth is the kind of guy who thinks of others before himself I don t think I ll be adding him to my long list of book boyfriends though I didn t find him appealing but I did feel for him Who knows I might change my mindNo way could this be the end for Seth and Harper so I ll go ahead and read the next book now Just going to lay this out there take it how you want but Hope is. Er her first kiss He was the boy she cried over when her mother decided to proot her from her hometown He’s also the boy with a secretWhen Seth finds out that Harper is coming back to town half.
Summary é eBook, ePUB or Kindle PDF ☆ Amity Hope,
One hell of an author She is scribbling out stories of teenagers in all their angst glory I fell in love with Hope s writing and storytelling with her book TWISTED not long ago Couldn t get that story or those characters out of my head I immediately took to Facebook spouting to anyone and everyone that they should read this book Not only was it intense it was emotion as well So very emotional With this story I expected it not to be as intense and emotional and I was right The sort of drama I found in TWISTED wasn t in this one but it was still such an amazing read Now I am not saying the intensity wasn t there it just slid in on the backside of the story where it could really pack a punch The book ends on somewhat of a cliffhanger but it ends well You don t feel jipped for plowing through the book not to get a decent ending But I can promise you that readers will definitely be looking forward to SECRETS AND LIESI love the relationship Seth and Harper shared Both grew p being each other s best friend and both were secretly in love with each other Yes even at the tender age of 14 the feelings of love were there I am just thankful the author went about that part in a way that didn t feel like she had to cram the young love down our throat as to get her point across like I have seen done before She knew exactly what to give The Shadow at the Bottom of the World us and make it seem real But fate being the cruel heartless wantch she is stepped in Harper had to move away to Florida with her newly divorced momaway from her dad and brother away from her friends and importantly away from SethMoving away tore Harperp but it tore Seth Design for Six Sigma up as well His life started spiraling out of control soon after But that is his story to tell So you are just going to have to read it to know him andnderstand what went wrong Like I mentioned earlier Hope is a genius of a story teller She has a way of pulling you smack dab into the story and holding your interest hostage Otis Oldfield upntil the very end I couldn t walk away from this book any long period of time It beckoned me to come back and finish what I started and so I did The Rooster Who Would Not Be Quiet! uickly Pickp this story and you ll Find You Won T Be Able To you won t be able to its charms either DNF 50% I did like the storyline but I just couldn t connect with the characters Their development just fell a bit short for me I really enjoyed Twisted so I didn t hesitate to pick this book p when I found out it was by the same author I have to say I enjoyed Twisted The synopsis sounded interesting and I love me some childhood love stories Unfortunately it just didn t deliver what I had hopedThe characters weren t well developed and frankly I found them boring I just didn t feel emotionally
Connected To The Charactersto the characters the romance Harper wasn t a bad protagonist but I didn t really find her particularly interesting At times I found her ite annoyingI felt really sad for Seth and the secret he held for so long and normally it makes me cry but not this time I ve read so many other books with the same topic and I just don t think this was as well written I thought this book was longer than it had to be and it kinda dragged for me I m a little disappointed and still debating if I would read the next one I came through almost 60% of this book and I realized I read a lot of pages and it s not going to get any better for me The characters were flat and had some cheesy stereotype behavior Harpers mom her friends Seth I was skipping a lot Me and this book were not meant to Way through their senior year he hates that he can’t be happy about it Because Harper is the one person who knows the truth And as far as Seth is concerned the truth really doesn’t set you fre.
