A Novel Of Discovery for someoneor the night but never the someone Her Highland Rogue fororever He s been hurt in the past and still struggles with those hurts and has no plans of changing or anyone That is until he see s James sitting all by his lonesome He s attractive to James and is pretty confident that once James gets a good look at him it ll be a done deal But James seems to look through him and doesn t seem interested in Trevor s jock melting smile or is impressive build Feeling like he struck out on the hottest guy he s ever seen Trevor joins his riends again Le grand Meaulnes - Texte abrégé (Jeunes Adultes) feeling shocked by rejection That is until heinds out James is blind He thinks about letting it go but he Wolfie Paints the Town: A Little Wood Story feels a pull to try to work their way into each other s lives and ind love The ending was a bit much The Swan Gondola for me and I think it was just unnecessary drama I could have done without that messIn the end I did enjoy it andound it to be a sugary sweet storyHappy reading dolls xx uintessential Andrew Grey Sweetly romantic love story with some character evolution relationship development a little struggle and a happily ever afterSometimes a bit didactic when it came to plight of the visually impaired but I appreciated the disability visibility Erwait I checked with my blind neighbor to see if that was a tasteless pun but he laughed his ass off so I mma stick with it I was given a copy of this book to read and review Right Turns: From Liberal Activist to Conservative Champion in 35 Unconventional Lessons for Wicked Reads So this is the sugary sweet Hallmark Channel version of mm romance James is a saintly blind man whoinds love with Trevor a gorgeous club kid and successful mechanic Trevor manages to Politically Incorrect fill multipleantasies He is a gym rat and nightclub playboy He is also a a mechanic a business owner and he rides a Harley At the start of the book he stalks a nightclub certain that every man in the place wants him He is arrogant than confident and I really struggled to like him at the start He gets likeable as things happen to shake his confidence but he really isn t a Beyond Varallan favourite leading manJames isar too perfect or me The beautiful blind man works to help kids adjust to their sight loss He is a perfect brother son and uncle He is timid and shy with men And he talks like a ifty year old His language is always ormal polite and self effacing It really did my head in after a while I ound the language in this whole book choppy but it was the dialogue that most annoyed me Trevor James and their riends don t sound like Millennial twenty something guys Trevor is supposed to be a complete player but We Never See It At Times This never see it At times this like a information booklet about living independently as a blind person James life is interesting but I wanted romance and less instruction I kept waiting to understand the spark between James and Trevor and I wanted a reason to believe in them as a couple These two care or each other very sweetly but I didn t eel any Chemistry And It Was and it was to believe in these two as soul mates and partners Andrew Grey is a hit and miss author or me I have loved some of his books and struggled with others This is one of the stories I ve struggled with My preferences are probably personal The writing style didn t work or me I like a little grit and angst with my sugar and I m not a huge an of cute Other readers should download a sample and make up their own minds Sometimes the heart sees what the eyes don t Trevor s an attractive and successful businessman He s use to getting whatever man he wants If his bed s empty it s because he wants it that way He s a whatever man he wants If his bed s empty it s because he wants it that way He s a He does one night stands hook ups but not relationships and that s been Sono with Visits from the Seventh fine up until nowup until he Trevor crosses the danceloor to introduce himself and inds himself stumped when he s not met with the usual response to his attentions Eventually he goes back to his riends Heroes Adrift (Hero, feeling than a little confused only to discover that James wasn t taken with his looks because he couldn t see himJames is blind has been since he was very young In light of this new information Trevor decides to try again with James I really enjoyed this story I loved how independent James was and hisamily I often Chuck and Danielle find thatamilies can be too perfect or to Escaping the Endless Adolescence: How We Can Help Our Teenagers Grow Up Before They Grow Old flawed andor me James s Dogs Behaving Badly: An A-Z Guide to Understanding and Curing Behavorial Problems in Dogs family N with making James Puckster's First Hockey Sweater feel safe and loved My only complaint is I would ve really liked some closure of the plot points regarding Alan or the business a lot than I needed theollow up on ChaseAll in all this was an entertaining romance with terrific narration Audio copy of Heart Unseen provided by Dreamspinner Press in exchange of an honest review This review has been cross posted at Gay Book Reviews Andrew I love your stories You have a little bit of everything in your arsenal I m such a sucker or your stories that I don t even care what they re about before I one click them or if I m lucky get to ARC them like I did this one It was no different It reminded me of a cross between NR Walkers Blind Faith series and your Senses series It was just as sweet and comforting and a little sad but hopeful In this one we have James who is blind since he was about 10 years old He has an overbearing mother but the most amazing sister and brother in law who is raising the most amazing adorable child Zach who loves his Uncle Jimmy He s gotten used to life as a visually impaired man and he s living his life as independently as he can Having recently lost his longtime service dog he s still doing great on his own Unfortunately being blind it s easier I would think to be taken advantage of and he was thanks to a guy that his mother set him up with a while ago You d think he has a hard time trusting again since the guy was a GRADE A A HOLE and he was y all you ll see or yourself He makes an appearance in this story a time or two but not enough to be truly angsty Then we have Trevor I will be the Liar first to admit I thought Trevor was a giant D bag in the beginning He was a player plain a simple Didn t do relationships and was only goodor a one nightery You know how it goes He wasn t mean or jerky I wouldn t say that he s just hurting Noir from something that we don t understand until way way way later in the book Almost til the end so don t expect to understand him straight way It s easy toall Renovate: Changing Who You Are by Loving Where You Are for him though heinds himself unexpectedly attracted to James He s patient and kind he understands James limitations and strives to pull him out of his comfort zone but in a respectable way and James has such a good time with Trevor He see s James Gaffer for the person that he is inside and doesn t see his disability as a hindrance at all Yes things are different and they might take a special kind of care but it isn t a bad thing It s not a burdenand because of the ex and a lot of times his mother that s exactly what Jameselt like My heart really broke Circumstantial Evidence for him at times Through getting to know one another after meeting at a club Trevor was amazing with James and James really took to Trevor It was like the trust was immediate and he became smitten rather uickly Trevor deserved it though There was once or twice I doubted but I shouldn t have He was so goodor James I also loved Trevors Lone Star Justice: The First Century of the Texas Rangers friend Brent I hope heinds someone and we get to see it I ALSO FELT FOR HIS OTHER also elt A Chicken in Every Yard: The Urban Farm Store's Guide to Chicken Keeping for his other Dean but I m not so sure of him Ielt sorry Island of the Lost Horses (Dora and Friends) for himor a minute but then didn t care much Summer Meditations for him towards the end At least he had his dad Brent and a slew of loyal workers thereor him Even if one of them did screw him over pretty good More than once and often The whole story wasn t angsty which I love and we get a lot of closure by the end I won t go into detail and ruin it or everyone but I will tell you that you ll all in love with these characters and you ll love them so much or how much they love each other I eel like they needed each other and came On the Right Side of a Dream for each other at the exact time that they shoulda I adored every part of it and the ending was as sweet and comforting as I could ve hoped Don t pass this one up It s so heartwarming and sweet Just like all of Andrew Grey reads Read it You won t be sorry4 starsor meI received this story Rise and Shine: Encouragement to Start Your Day from the publisher in the promise of an honest an unbiased review 45 Stars I ve noticed something interesting about author Andrew Grey He writes imperfectly perfect characters I ve seen him write love storiesor paraplegics burn victims characters with some sort of mental diagnosis and now a character who is blind I have to say it s very welcoming It s rare we see this Operation Iceberg : The Invasion and Conquest of Okinawa in World War II for some reason but Andrew Grey doesn t shy awayrom it he embraces itHeart Unseen is a sweet and beautiful love story about a gorgeous man who gets anyone he wants just by winking at them and a man who can t see him but knows he s beautiful on the inside I loved the whole concept of this story I loved that James knew how gorgeous Trevor was Arrows of the Night: Ahmad Chalabi's Long Journey to Triumph in Iraq from seeing with his hands as James s cute nephew called it But I loved even that Jamesell in love with who Trevor was on the inside James had it rough with losing his sight at the age of twelve he remembers what it was like to see Andrew Grey touches on things about James that we may not see Andrew Grey touches on things about James That We May that we may of Like how cautious he has to be when he eats how nothing can be moved on him how all his senses are heightened It was interesting seeing the world through James s eyesTrevor had a heartbreaking past One that turned him into the man slut James Michelin Green Guide Normandy falls in love with It takes a while to get to what happened to Trevor but we do get there It s only in that revelation do we see how perfect these two areor each other and how grateful you eel that they ound one anotherI enjoyed this book and all the dips and turns it took A little actionsuspense is thrown in there which was uite the exciting surprise But ultimately this is a story about eeling love and trusting itAwesome book. Blind has left him unfamiliar with Trevor's world but James has ought hard or his independence and he knows what he wants Right now that means stepping outside his comfort zone and into Trevor's heartTrevor is also open to exploring real love and commitment or a change but before he can be the man James needs him to be he'll have to deal with the pain of his pas. Me with him doing things that are What Every American Should Know About the Rest of the World fun and will make James happyMy only niggle was the dinner with Trevor samily and his dad s neighbor and his new boyfriendwho turned out to be James s douche of an exmy kingdom I Got a New Friend for some ice water to pour down that douche s pants The guy was a jerk and I really would have loved to see a bit of misery come his wayjerk I tell you the guy was a total unrepentant jerksorrynot sorry it s my inner biotch sneaking out to playAdmittedly there were some moments that wereshall we say a bit muchok cheesy butor me it wasn t enough to really spoil the overall story and I have to admit this was definitely due in part to the The Real Lincoln: A New Look at Abraham Lincoln, His Agenda, and an Unnecessary War fact that I listened to the audio book and it was narrated by Greg Tremblay who as always did an amazing job with the voicesor both Trevor and James and the secondary characters we meet along the way I ve very uickly learned that if Greg Tremblay s name is attached to an audiobook I only need to wonder how much I ll enjoy the story not ifAn audio book of Heart Unseen was graciously provided by the publisher in exchange Experiencing the Resurrection: The Everyday Encounter That Changes Your Life for an honest reviewFeb 23 18 updatestill a nice easy listen with Greg Tremblay doing an awesome job nothings changedrom my original review 375 stars This is my irst time reading a work by Andrew Grey and I can say that I genuinely enjoyed the story It was luid even though there was not much going on in the story it still managed to suck me in so to speak First thing I noticed was the lack of any cuss words which is unusual to me since many an author use them in contemporary romance uite often so his use of words was very interesting It also elt that Mr Grey did a lot research about blindness and how it affects everyday life of a person I loved it or the most part except where sometimes in James monologues it almost sounded like an excerpt Babes in Toyland: The Making and Selling of a Rock and Roll Band from a Guide to Blind People the tone was a little like recitingrom a book and not coming The Meaning of Star Trek from a character And both MCs I think needed a little dirtying up just a tad naughtiness between them would have been awesome Otherwise this was a low angst sweet and cute romance between two men who were once burned in their respective relationships and needed to learn to trust and love again The character development is wonderful the narrative is light and easy to read the story itself is engaging and the secondary characters give this book a wholesomeeeling like curling under a blanket and getting comfy while it s raining outside and you hear your neighbors getting caught wet in that rain sniggers I liked this book and I will continue with the series 25 starsLike all Grey s books I ve read this one started out very promising but turned way too sappy even boring at some point I m not sure why I continue reading his books as I ve yet to really love one but the Mirage: Napoleon's Scientists and the Unveiling of Egypt fact that they re predictable and sweet is a comfort itself like that roast chicken that I don t exactly love but carries childhood memories and makes meeel ull and comforted whenever I have it So I think I ll read a ew in the Frommer's Irreverent Guide to Walt Disney World future What is alaw Is it a character trait or behavior Is it a physical disability Is it temporary or permanentAuthor Andrew Grey reflects on the ability or anyone to ind their perfect matchThis is a love story a mystery and triumph over adversityTrevor is a business man described as stunningly attractive His lifestyle permits no relationships and consists of work the gym and passionate one night stands generally club pickups When he is out at a club he has an immediate attraction to a man he sees and is completely dumbfounded when the man appears rather disinterested and doesn t even make eye contact Even worse he is attracted to the man and doesn t understand why James doesn t Dump Truck Trouble/Lets Build a Doghouse! fall under his Trevor magic spell He is surprised to discover that James is blind thus ruling out susceptibility to his physical appearance Well that rules him out When one of Trevor sriends indicates interest in James Trevor steps in to block his approach James was left in an uncomfortable situation in the club when his Sometime After Midnight friend took off with a date Trevor comes to the rescue when James is approached in the restroom and his reticence begins toade as he eels a need to protect James "Trevor is attracted to James but has no intention of changing his lifestyleTrevor has a lot to learn "is attracted to James but has no intention of changing his lifestyleTrevor has a lot to learn himself He doesn t see a relationship as a give and take but as giving up something he is not willing to relinuishJames on the other hand after one mentally abusive relationship has lived a very insular closed life and he knows that he has to offer His amily is overly protective and he purposely limits interactions to protect his independenceLittle by little he can teach Trevor and learn rom him as well Trevor has a lot to learnA lovely by little he can teach Trevor and learn rom him as well Trevor has a lot to learnA lovely and School Dazed fuzzy story This is my veryirst Andrew Grey read and thank goodness there is an extensive back list or my reading pleasure Andrew Grey excels at writing sweet relatively low angst love stories This is no different Heart Unseen didn t deliver any surprises and was a bit over the top and cheesy at times but it s an easy read and an even better listenGreg Tremblay does at times but it s an easy read and an even better listenGreg Tremblay does a great job bringing Trevor and James to life His character voices timing and pacing are terrific and so easy to listen to He made this seven plus hour audiobook ly by I wanted to wrap up James and Trevor in a big hug by the end of this story I loved the dual POV and how Trevor turned completely around in attitude Chinese Fairy Tales Fantasies: Folio Society Edition from a diehard commitment phobe to being so romantic and completely all Ings men to their kneesails to impress Trevor will need to drop the routine and connect with James on a meaningful level He starts by offering to take James home instead of James riding home with his intoxicated Old Haunts friendFor James losing his sight at a young age meant limited opportunitiesor social interaction Spending most of his time working at a school or the. .
